This antenna is
perfect for Point-to-Point network and high-speed
Internet from a remote location, or accessing a Wi-Fi
source from a distant location. For best performance we
recommend this antenna for up to 1000', though it has
been used successfully for distances over 1 mile (such
as an open dessert in Iraq). For distances over 1000' or
poor line-of-sight conditions the
SureFire CP antenna is recommended.
The
WLANtennaTM
is our own professionally designed high performance
Waveguide Directional Antenna. It is designed for
long distance access to a
wireless base antenna
as well as seeking out WI-FI hot-spots provided by RV
parks, marinas, local communities, etc. It is a full
wavelength antenna manufactured from heavy duty PVC;
no tin cans, plastic covers
that fall off or leak, and no flimsy tripod mount.
The WLANtenna is truly far superior to any cantenna or
home-brew waveguide antenna. The WLANtenna has a weather
tight seal, a UV-Resistant clear coating and rugged
stainless steel mounting hardware for long outdoor life.

The
WLANtennaTM
design is based on the ARRL (American Radio Relay
League) UHF/Microwave Projects. There are many waveguide
antennas including cantennas and home-brew designs of
all sorts, but the WLANtenna is the only Waveguide
Antenna that conforms to the ARRL standard. The probe
and reflector are uniquely designed to provide
exceptionally good broadband performance in the
microwave frequency band. As you can see, this antenna
does not in any way resemble the size and shape of a
